Broadway in Cincinnati and CATS are asking you to help us keep the Ohio Alleycat Rescue shelter stocked! Please consider bringing a small cat-related donation when you attend CATS at the Aronoff Center June 11 – 16, 2019.
Ohio Alleycat Rescue and Spay/Neuter Clinic (OAR) is asking for the following items for their furry feline friends:
- Washable/disposable toys (especially ones with feather and noises)
- Red laser lights
- Dry cat food for adults (Purina Pro Plan Savor Salmon and Rice Formula)
- Canned wet food for adults (Fancy Feast Classic)
- Baby food (chicken or turkey)
- Large heavy duty garbage bags
- Tall kitchen garbage bags
- Paper towels
OAR is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1998 which operates a no-kill shelter for felines, finding homes for a record 738 cats and kittens in 2018. OAR is committed to controlling the cat population through Trap-Neuter-Return programs, with a low-fee Spay/Neuter Clinic that performed a record 12,000 surgeries in 2018 (with 1/3 of these cats being strays or ferals.) The organization’s popular Yoga with Cats is now in its 4th year. OAR has over 200 volunteers and a dedicated medical team. OAR’s cat shelter, located at 5619 Orlando Place, Cincinnati, 45227, is open for adoption Mon & Thurs 6pm-8pm and Sat & Sun 1pm-4pm. You can also find their adoptable cats and kittens at PetSmart in Oakley on Sat and Sun afternoons.
