“When the World Gives You Lemons, Go Banana Splits” Pie

Crust
6 tbsp butter
1 C all purpose flour
1/4 C finely chopped peanuts
Mix all together to form a soft ball of dough.  Press into a pie plate and up the sides.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.
Filling
3 banana sliced lengthwise
2 tbsp butter
1 pkg of vanilla pudding mix (may use cooked or instant) follow package directioins
1  jar of strawberry fruit spread, jam, or preserves
1 C heavy whipping cream
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp roughly chopped peanuts
Chocolate syrup
1 Marashino Cherry
Directions
Prepare crust as per directions above and let cool.  Saute banana slices in butter on medium high heat until golden brown and let cool.  Meanwhile prepare vanilla pudding.  If using the cooked version cool until just warm.
Place bananas in bottom of pie crust.  Pour pudding mix over the bananas. Spread evenly.   Cool in the refrigerator at least 10 min.
Spread strawberry jam evenly over the top of the pudding.  Cool in refrigerator while whipping the cream.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer whip together the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until there are stiff peaks.  Spread over the top of the pie up to 1 inch from the edge.
Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream in crisscross motions. Sprinkle chopped peanuts over the entire surface.  Add a Marachino cherry to the top center of the pie.
